Game of Thrones includes a vast, ensemble cast of more than a thousand actors, some of them minor ones and some of them major. The show has brought fame to little-known actors; the list includes actors from Game of Thrones in films both before and after they became a part of the show.
1. Keisha Castle-Hughes, in Whale Rider
In 2002, the twelve-year-old Keisha Castle-Hughes made her acting debut in Whale Rider as Paikea Apirana, the granddaughter of Koro and descendant of the first legendary Paikea. 2. Liam Cunningham, in The Wind That Shakes the Barley
Liam Cunningham plays a member of the IRA in the 2006 film The Wind That Shakes the Barley, a film about two brothers first fighting together for Irish independence, and later on opposing sides. In 2012, Cunningham began playing Ser Davos Seaworth, Stannis Baratheon’s Hand and trustworthy advisor.
3. Maisie Williams, in Up on the Roof
Maisie Williams made her acting debut in Game of Thrones as Arya Stark, the younger of the two Stark daughters. She featured in Nour Wazzi’s 2013 short Up on the Roof.
